Family therapy can be a valuable experience for all members of the family. My work with families often revolves around issues involving life changes or transitions; such as separation or divorce, blending families or dealing with changes involving a major illness or death of a family member. Family therapy can involve the whole family or parts of the family and this can vary over the course of therapy .At different times in the course of treatment, the whole family or parts of the family may be involved.

Clients considering family therapy are facing challenges like:

Adjusting to family changes like divorce, remarriage and blended families
Improving communication between family members
Dealing with alcoholism or substance abuse
Dealing with family life cycle issues like raising young children and adolescents
Managing children that have been acting out and other signs of troubled feelings
Dealing with mental illness
Dealing with chronic or terminal illness or death of a family member
